The Old Year

The Old Year

It's interesting to reflect on how, in October last, we imagined the last weeks of 2016 would go.  Pretty much as we expected as it turned out - but with much food for thought which was good!

In early December we linked up with the highly respected shirtmaker Smyth and Gibson  http://www.smythandgibson.com  making an exclusive Donegal Granite cufflink for them to add, along with several others in our range, to their accessories offer.  As well as offering fully tailored shirts Smyth and Gibson are, amongst other things, the largest supplier of shirts into Selfridges so you can imagine how pleased we were to enter into this partnership.

Of course it was the season to get out and show our range and
we attended two charity fairs, a two day show in central London and a couple of other small events - all very worthwhile.  Great to be face to face with people and nice to think of our cufflinks being worn in London, New York, Milan and many other places near and far.  We look forward to doing more shows in the coming year and will post details on our website as and when.

Right now the workshop is getting a bit of a revamp - including a new floor covering.  So everything has had to be cleared out. A small display area is being put together for visitors and we'll be surrounded by bits and bobs gathered over the years - each with a story.  With a wood burning stove in the plan for later in the year it will be a pleasant space to work in. Maybe a pic or two next time.
