About the product

Simple and elegant, this Black Onyx gemstone with Drusy crystals, is carved and signed by the renowned lapidary artist Dieter Lorenz. A one-off piece, it is entirely unique. The stone has been carved to maximise the impact of the natural sparkle, with a smooth matt polish to the base and sides to contrast. It is simply drilled and hung on an 18 Carat Gold multi-strand circular necklace. The necklace is 42 cm/16.5 inches length Stone: Length 49mm, Width 11mm, Depth 7mm - the stone is signed (DL - Dieter Lorenz) on the reverse.

About the stone

Drusy is the glittering effect caused by tiny crystals which form inside the stone, giving it a sparking finish by natural process. Black Onyx is said to be associated with the planet Saturn, and it is the birthstone for the zodiac sign Leo (July & August). It is said that Onyx is a soothing stone, a stone of happiness, good fortune and strength.
