Brooch, Lapis Lazuli set in 18 carat Yellow Gold

This exceptional piece of Lapis Lazuli emerged from a natural fissure in the rock, its face unworked and showing a subtle gradation of blues like a tropical sea.  Fashioned into a brooch by Alistair in his studio to show the exquisite character of the stone the piece is entitled ‘The Wave’. Generously set in 18ct yellow gold which creates a strong visual synergy with the blue of the stone. The brooch carries the Birmingham anchor mark verso – together with the, date, gold standard and Alistair’s own makers marks.

The piece measures (maxima) 7.3cm tall. 3.7cm wide and 10.3cm deep and weighs 45gm.

The brooch, because of its size, is best worn on an open weave wrap, jumper or coat collar to add a splash of eye-catching colour and sophistication.

The brooch comes with in a black calf leather box bearing our makers mark in gold print.
